Gómez Cruzado Wines
At Gómez Cruzado, a family of historic wines coexists with a project born from the desire to share the diversity that exists within La Rioja.
Gómez Cruzado family:
Historic wines faithful to the great Riojas blends, the result of the complementarity of grapes that seek perfection.
Gómez Cruzado Blanco:
Only native varieties (Viura 75% and white Tempranillo 25%). All the grapes come from the same plot, a high altitude area in Haro. Very good vegetative balance and correct exposure of the clusters to the light.
Breeding:
Made from grapes of the variety Tempranillo 80%, from the foothills of the Sierra Cantabria and from vineyards bordering the lower reaches of the river Najerilla (Uruñuela and Torremontalbo). It also has a 20% of Grenache in the upper Najerilla area (Badarán).
Predilecto:
Made with uvas de viña vieja lubicadas en las partes más elevadas del Valle del Ebro, donde existe mayor potencial frutal. 35% tempranillo y 65% garnacha.
Viña Dorana:
Vasos viejos cultivados en la subzona del Alto Najerilla, junto al río Cárdenas. En un rango de altitudes comprendido entre los 600 y 710 m.s.n.m. 60% tempranillo y 40% garnacha.
Hon:
Made with our oldest vineyardsin which the majority variety is Tempranillobut they also appear Garnacha, Graciano, Mazuelo and Viura. Majuelos located on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria, most of them are "carasoles" facing south or southeast.
Viña Motúlleri Gran Reserva:
Goblet-trained vines over 60 years old. Tempranillo 70%, Garnacha 25% and Viura 5%. Vineyards grown in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa.
Terroir Selection:
A project born from the desire to share the diversity that exists within the basta Rioja, the expression of exceptional and original places whose imprint is revealed in three wines.
Pancrudo:
Grenache 100%, from old goblet-grown vineyards in the village of Badarán (Alto Najerilla) facing north and at an altitude of 650 metres.
Cerro Las Cuevas:
Grapes from our vineyards in Ollauriin the areas of "Las Laderas" and "Calitrancos". 90 year old glassesgrown in very narrow, steeply sloping frames. Mixture of varieties, with an approximate proportion of 80% Tempranillo, 12% Graciano, 3% Mazuelo and 5% Garnacha.
Obarenes Mountains:
25% White Tempranillo from the area around Haro, 65% Viura, 5% Malvasía and the rest Garnacha blanca and Calagraño from our vineyard on the slopes of Ollauri.

The origin of Gómez Cruzado dates back to 1886, when Mr Ángel Gómez de Arteche, Mexican nobleman related to the duchy of Moctezuma de Tultengo, decided to winemaking and bottling in Haroin the heart of the Rioja Alta. It was born in the Station District of Haro one of the century-old wineries that writes the history of modern Rioja at the end of the 19th century.
After its founding, in 1916 Gómez Cruzado is bought by D. Agustín and Jesús Gómez Cruzado, of Rioja origin, from whom it takes its current name. After the succession of several investors over the decades, at the turn of the century, the winery came into the hands of the current owners, the Baños familyoriginally from the Riojan village of Badarán and resident in Mexico, thus recovering its family character.
After more than 130 years of history, esta bodega centenaria de Rioja, ha vivido una renovación intensa culminada en la concepción de una wine range with the will of the deity to the origin and the way of doing of the place, in such a way that they always transport to the emotion of the encounter with a great Haro wine.

Gómez Cruzado is located in a unique place as it is the Barrio de la Estación in Harowhere the largest concentration of century-old wineries in the world. El Barrio offers the chance to travel through the history of Rioja by walking from winery to winery and tasting some of the best wines produced in Rioja today.
The winery is located one kilometre from the town of Haro, where its ancient buildings bear witness to the 19th century classical architecture in Rioja and where you can also enjoy the typical riojan gastronomy both in the wide variety of restaurants in the town and in the busy Calle de la Herradura.
Haro, moreover, has within a few kilometres of it a beautiful concentration of medieval villages that deserve a visit, such as Sajazarra, Briones, Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón or San Vicente de la Sonsierraand is surrounded by seas of vineyards that impress the traveller.
